The pile type used for this Contemporary Modern Rug Collection is what's known as a frise or twist pile, what is a Frise and it's characteristics you ask? Well it's a two-ply yarn where two yarn ends are tightly twisted together, this acts like a spring which keeps on standing up after being compressed, and is described as a "Frise" thus being less prone to showing foot marks with exceptional hard wearing properties. They are dense and thick, very soft under foot (even to lay on ) anti-static ( Everything just vacuums out - Even Pet Hair ), easy to clean spills, moth proof, non shedding, colour fast, very easy maintenance and a great show piece and have a pile height of these rugs are approx 20mm tall.
